AI for Accounting

This track is designed for accountants, bookkeepers, auditors, AP/AR specialists, tax preparers, and accounting managers. Participants learn to apply AI across the accounting lifecycle: from data entry and document processing through reconciliation, financial reporting, tax preparation, audit support, and forecasting. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, compliance, and maintaining professional skepticism when using AI outputs.

Track-Level Learning Outcomes

  1. Automate data extraction from invoices, receipts, bank statements, and financial documents using AI, reducing manual entry by at least 60%.
  2. Use AI to perform account reconciliation, anomaly detection, and error identification across financial datasets.
  3. Generate and review financial reports, management accounts, and compliance documents using AI with appropriate professional verification.
  4. Apply AI to tax preparation workflows including classification, calculation support, and regulatory research.
  5. Design AI-assisted audit procedures including sampling, substantive testing support, and working paper documentation.
  6. Build repeatable AI-powered accounting workflows and evaluate AI outputs with the professional skepticism required by accounting standards.
